(ANSA) û Aosta, May 6 - Italian liqueur, coffee and sugar producer Savio, based in the northern town of Chatillon, will launch two new liqueur products in the summer of 2008, the company announced.

Savio, from the northern Italian region of Valle D'Aosta, will launch the products to celebrate 50 years since it was founded.

The two new liqueur products of the company are a grappa, a typical Italian grape brandy, and a genepy, a digestif typical for the Alps region. The grappa will be called Cuor di Vitigno.

Savio produces over 500,000 litres of liqueur per year. The company also distributes two Russian vodka brands and two Central American brands of rum on the Italian market. The company expects to increase its annual turnover to 30 mln euro ($46.5 mln euro) in the next thee years, from the current 20 mln euro ($31 mln) per year.

The Italian producer has two subsidiaries abroad û one on the Canary Islands and one in Latvia. (ANSA)
