Antey-Saint-André Fair
Ancient craftwork traditions are still very much alive thanks to the enthusiasm of students.
All along the streets of the mediaeval town of Antey-Saint-André, every year, in the month of August, more than two hundred students, coming from all the Valle d'Aosta schools of wood sculpture, carving and turning, vannerie, and schools of stone pottery and wrought iron, proudly present the results of their works.
The exhibitors take part in this fair with enthusiasm, as it is the third most important fair, at a regional level, after the ancient fair of Sant'Orso and the the fair at Donnas. It is also a festival which relives past memories and celebrates ancient cuisine and music, as well as Man's close bonds with the mountains.
