Pope John Paul II Museum

Testimony to the pontiff's discrete visits to the mountains
Since 1989, the year of his first summer holiday in the Valley, Pope John Paul II gave great pride to the community that respectfully and lovingly hosted him in their surrounding woodland. His discrete, silence presence. His days spent contemplating the nature of those majestic mountains allowed him to fully relax, so much so that his continuous aches and pains seemed to magically disappear, almost as if these surroundings
were the best medicine for him. The John Paul II Maison-Musée is a way of keeping his indelible memory alive. The museum is dedicated to exhibiting a series of objects, documents and photographs of the Holy Father which provide a global vision of this pontiff. This collection on the one hand represents the worldly, apostolic aspect of the Holy Father and, on the other, his residence in Valle d'Aosta through personal objects used during his Valdostane holidays.
