Brusson

Famous for Nordic skiing, it offers international competitions
Brusson is an area well known for cross-country skiing. One of its slopes, known as the “Trois Villages”, borders, in addition to the chief town, with the villages of ArcĂ©saz, Vollon and ExtrepiĂ©raz. Uphill and downhill slopes, tortuous curves, amid larch and fir forest s, alternating with vast panoramic spaces. Overall, between Brusson and Estoul there are thirty kilometres of slopes, suitable for all levels and always well maintained: in the eventof la lack of snow, a systems comes into play
that guarantees constant, programmed snow. Two cross-country slope circuitshave been created in the upland plain of Vollon. With lengths of 5 and 7.5 km respectively, both circuits are approved for World Cup competitions. In addition to cross-country competitions, Brusson also hosts biathlon competitions. In fact, a rifle range approved for World Cup trialshas been in place since 2000 and has already hosted international and Italian championships. The “Foyer du Fond”,
located near the oldest part of the town, where the valley extends towards north (directly below Monte Zerbion's summit),  offers sports enthusiasts: changing rooms, showers, ski waxing rooms and a gym, as well as support services for sporting events ( (timekeeping, competition office, press room and an infirmary service, etc..).
