Monterosa Ski

Ayas-Champoluc: Champoluc is the largest town in Valle d’Ayas. For several generations now, it has boasted a reputation as being a very popular tourist destination for Italians and foreign tourists alike.

Gressoney-La-Trinité: the thriving heart of the main resort of Monterosa Ski, the slopes of Gressoney host some of the finest ski runs and some breathtaking tracks.

Ayas-Champoluc - Its large number of ultra-modern ski-lift facilities rise up to an altitude of 2,727 metres in the pass of Bettaforca, at the heart of Monterosa Ski, where they join those of the Gressoney valley. From the Crest (1,935 metre altitude), which features a winter refuge, the ski-lift facilities rise up to Mount Sarezza, at an altitude of 2,820 m. The Champoluc resort is part of the Monterosa Ski circuit; its slopes are interwoven with ski runs for all levels of ability, allowing them to host every type of skier, from the novice to the expert. More specifically, one of the most charming skiing itineraries departs from Champoluc, leading "skis on" to Alagna and Gressoney, the centres of the other two valleys that complete the Monterosa Ski complex. The ski runs boast a
modern artificial snowing system that guarantees skiing is possible all throughout the winter season right up to late spring. Champoluc is also the ideal destination for "surfers" who can use the half-pipe track. Gressoney-La-Trinité - Situated at the foot of the Monte Rosa, popular with tourists every season without fail. In its very essence, it features some notable history and an unusual balance between a modern tourist resort and an old Alpine village enriched with typical Walser buildings. The ski resort here is part of the Monterosa Ski complex, amid the most extensive and the most modern in the world, with 200 km of ski runs and ultra-modern ski-lift facilities; it is the home of Italian off-piste skiing. Skiing in Gressoney means benefiting from the use of ultra-modern and fast ski-lift facilities, of
powerful scheduled snowing plants and a large number of refreshment points all along the ski runs. From Gressoney, you can get as far as Alagna and Champoluc (also part of the Monterosa ski complex) with your skis on at all times. Its prestigious geographical position (it is the first side Valley as you enter the Valle d’Aosta) makes Gressoney one of the most famous resorts in the entire region.
